First Week

I have just completed my first actual week on the Art Foundation Course. I'm finding it amazing so far! I've had a go at 3 completely different styles of drawing; 3D drawing, perspective drawing and moving picture drawing. I enjoyed them all, but I have to say, the moving pictures session was really challenging. It is the most I have been out of my comfort zone in doing art, which is obviously one of the main reasons for doing this course. Most of the time, my illustrations were very far fetched from what was actually happening on the screen, but it was interesting to see how the techniques and materials in my work could be related to it.
The other two sessions seemed to suit my style alot more, as they allowed me to be more detailed in what I was doing. It was a massive help to me because I did learn about how I could show detail in my drawings using different techniques to how I usually work, even when working quickly.
I have heard rumours about next week and the only word which seems to fit the bill is... interesting! I may have to paint with my hair and use food in my work! I've got to say, I'm looking forward to it. I have never, ever done anything like that before. It will be most definately a leap out of my comfort zone!
