This work is from the 'idioms' project and I chose to base my work on the idiom, "Hold Your Horses". I considered the meaning of the saying, how it meant to not rush or to be impatient with your actions. I wanted to link this to everyday life in how cities, such as New York, were always busy and rushing around. I wanted to somehow juxtapose the image of a city and the image of race horses to show this relationship.

Cardboard Catwalk
The cardboard catwalk was a group project in which we had to design two constumes titled as, "The Odd Couple". The costumes were based on to different artists, one post-1950 and one pre-1950, which were picked out of a hat. The group was split into two halves to concentrate on one artist each. Our artists were Jasper Johns and Lazlo Moholy-Nagy. I was concentrating on the Jasper Johns costume.
The project ran through from cardboard experimentation, to the planning and discussion of ideas, the actual making of the costume and finally the catwalk itself.
